CE standard for KN95?
In Europe, they must meet the European standard(or CE Standard)EN 149: 2001, which has three types of disposable particulate respirators (FFP1, FFP2, and FFP3).
FFP1 refers to the least filtration of the three masks, with aerosol filtration of at least 80% and leakage to a maximum of 22% inside. This mask is mainly used as a dust mask (home improvement and various types of work).
FFP2 masks have a minimum filtration percentage of 94% and a maximum internal leakage of 8%. They are mainly used by construction, agriculture, and medical personnel to fight the flu virus. They are currently used to prevent coronaviruses.
FFP3 mask is the most filtered mask in FFP. The smallest filtration percentage is 99% and the largest internal leakage is 2%. They prevent fine particles such as asbestos.
KN95 mask
KN95 is a Chinese standard mask. It is a type of mask with particle filtering efficiency in China. It is a mask commonly used for epidemic prevention. KN95 masks and N95 masks and FFP2 masks are set according to different national standards in terms of particle filtration efficiency. But they are all antivirus. FFP2 masks are CE marked.
Choosing CE standard with KN95
It can be used safely against viruses (such as new coronavirus).
